Mardi Himal Trek



Mardi Himal is one of the high peaks in Annapurna Region of Nepal situated at the altitude of 5,587 meters from sea level and is a newly opened trekking trail into the hidden world of Nepal. The path leading to Mardi Himal follows the off the beaten trail receiving least visitors but equally provides various opportunities and offerings in Himalayan side. The trek is suitable for solo trekkers too as the trip is relatively short and spectacular. You can also experience native Magar and Gurung community with their enriched cultural and traditional values along with their day to day activities and beliefs. Trekking trail passes through beautiful Rhododendron forest providing you a feeling of walking in the world like heaven and amazing sunrise and sunset views never forget to surprise you during this beautiful journey.
Mardi Himal trek provides you great opportunity to view the mesmerizing mountain views of giant Annapurna, beautiful Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) and Himchuli peak along with adventurous trail full of beauties and attractive deeds. Usually trek to Mardi Himal starts with a drive to Kande from where you can start your actual trek. From Kande, the trail follows the way passing through Deurali, Forest camp, Low Camp, High Camp and finally Mardi Himal Base Camp at the elevation of 4,500 meters. You can explore the surround and enjoy the view from Mardi Himal Base Camp and trek back to Forest Camp, Lwang Ghalel Village and finally to Mardi River basin from where you can take a drive to Pokhara valley. Although, the trek is considered as easy trek but altitude problem may arise as the trail mostly sits in the high ridges and sometimes have to pass through narrow path and steep climb.
However, any season or time favors the trekking in Mardi Himal because of being not so high elevation journey but trekking in the month of March - April and October – November is considered as the best because the sky is generally crystal clear, the views are incredible and the weather is breathtaking as well.
